The creation and use of Spagyric herbal remedies is experiencing something of a revival at this time, particularly among herbalists and naturopathic practitioners.
Generally attributed to the creative genius of the medieval alchemist and medical doctor Paracelsus, Spagyric essences and tinctures arise from a sense for the intricate weaving between the plant world and that of the human being. According to Paracelsus, the Three Principles – or Tria Principia – are active throughout nature and are essential to understand in their proper relationship as either fostering and supporting health or contributing to disease in humans and other planetary dwellers.
