As part of the Healing Garden faculty, Jonathan teaches a wide variety of subjects dear to his heart - from native American philosophy and connection to the natural world, alchemy and spagyrics, to essential oil distillation and natural soap making.

Jonathan’s work and research focuses on education for sustainability with particular attention to the interface between society and the environment, agriculture and ecology, and between 'ways of knowing' and 'ways of growing' in order to foster human development for a more just, sustainable and enlightened world.

His educational research has focused on integrative and trans-disciplinary approaches to education and the role that these can play in the contemporary educational landscape.

He has developed and deepened these interests over the last decade through teaching engagements in China, South Africa, North America and Scandinavia.
